Join ArchiNATI for a Behind the Scenes Tour of the Cincinnati Ballet, 12pm – 1pm October 21. The tour includes 30 minutes of backstage rehearsal, a tour of our studios and a visit to the Wardrobe Department to view costumes. The tour is peppered with facts about Cincinnati Ballet, the history of dance and what it takes to keep the Company and Academy running.

As part of the ArchiNATI architecture festival, and the final event of the week long event, the 8th Street Design District is going to be hosting an open house. On Friday, October 21st, guests will have an opportunity to tour the galleries and offices of some of Cincinnati’s most renowned design firms. There will be light refreshments along the way and the event is open to the public. The event gets started at 530pm and doors will be open till 8pm. We hope to see you there! The AIA Cincinnati Committee on Design is hosting a tour of the Böhlke Veneer Corporation today. The tour is limited in size and open to AIA members only. Last minute sign up can be found at the AIA Cincinnati website.
The Fairfield-based office and veneer plant specializes in architectural millwork, cabinetry, furniture, and custom-designed veneers. Started in 1963, the business is an industry leader in fine veneers and architectural woodwork.

Thanks to all who helped make it to the event last night at the AFC Gallery. The AIA annual meeting combined with good food and drinks provided by the ArchiNATI team and the AFC Gallery brought out a good crowd. Here are just a few photos from the event.
The Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati will open the show “Old Building New Life: The Old Art Academy Building at the Cincinnati Art Museum” tonight at 6pm. The opening reception is at 811 Race Street.
The event is part of ArchiNATI, a one week festival of design and architecture for Cincinnati. Before the public event, the AIA will have its annual meeting in the gallery. This will be followed by the opening and a brief design talk by Jim Cheng of emersion Design.
